Hallo! I’m James Thomas Wang.

I am interested in discovering novel intersections between visual art, photography, machine learning, and data science.

I am a senior undergraduate student at Carnegie Mellon University, majoring in Statistics & Machine Learning and minoring in Photography. Additionally, I am a Dietrich College Quantitative Social Science Scholar.

I am currently working on a senior thesis on quantifying influence in art. I created Approximate Equivalents, an artist’s book of photographs taken by a machine learning model.

If you’re looking for my resume, you can find it here. My photography work (under a pseudonym) can be found here.

If you want to get in touch, you can email me at [email protected]. I can also be found on Are.na, Instagram, and LinkedIn.
